Wordless Wednesday: Sight Words

I'm happy to see Miss DeCarbo is hosting Wordless Wednesday parties again!  This fun linky is where teachers showcase one photo and then ask you a simple question.

How do your students practice their sight words during centers/Daily 5/small groups?

  1. Right now we're using Scrabble Cheez-Its and clothespins with letters to build our spelling and sight words. The kids are having a ball... we needed to change it up and this was just what we needed! I love the letter cards you have... they look durable!!

  2. We sing HeidiSongs daily for sight words (they do this while I wash the tables after breakfast). In centers, I made cards with sights words on them for students to play Candyland. They also like "code words"- assign each letter a number/symbol. Make lines with the corresponding "code" under them, and students write the words according to the code.
