Absolutely Apples

Have you ever done a TLC art project with your class?

It's interesting to see how varied the results can be when everyone receives the same supplies and hears the same directions!

I displayed our Apple Core art in the hallway along with a sign to let parents know this project had been created without using any patterns.  I also showed them the squares and rectangles each child was given.

Inside our classroom, we hung beautiful stained glass apples!
Here's how we made these absolutely adorable apples...
I precut a thick black apple frame and laid it on a piece of clear sticky Contact paper.  The children stayed busy filling the frame with red tissue paper squares and then added details like stems and leaves.  Next, we topped the apple with a second sheet of Contact paper and trimmed around the frame. The finished apples were hung down the middle of our classroom which really made it feel like fall had arrived!

Do you have a favorite APPLE art project?

I'm linking to Miss DeCarbo's Wordless Wednesday.
