Happy 4th of July!

The weather here in GA is unbelievably mild. Normally, our Independence Day temps are in the 90's with humidity that drenches you as soon as you step outside. Not today...it's been a comfy & sunny 84, breezy & wonderful.
My hanging baskets are thankful for a break from the heat, too.
Hubby LOVES to grill and use his smoker! So this morning he threw a rack of ribs in the smoker. After 4+ hours in the smoker(and a quick visit to our neighborhood pool), we returned to a delicious smell of smoked meat! Hubby finished them off on the grill brushing with some BBQ sauce until they looked like this!
And here's my plate! Ribs, fresh corn on the cob, potato salad, sliced tomato! Summertime eating at it's best! Don't you think the 4th is the one day you can justify a plate WITHOUT a green veggie?
Even the ol' Big Kitty took it easy on the backyard swing this 4th of July!
